I. Product Overview
The ZG type drum screen is independently designed by our factory with reference to imported equipment. This device removes floating debris and sediment from water intakes, and after squeezing and dewatering the screened residue, it discharges the waste. It is suitable for urban water supply/drainage, industrial water supply/drainage, and other water intakes to intercept and remove contaminants from water bodies.
II. Working Principle:
The drum screen, also known as a fine screen filter or spiral screen machine, is an integrated device combining a fine screen cleaner, a spiral conveyor for screened residue, and a spiral press for dewatering.
The screen blades form a drum-shaped basket with specific gap spacing. The water to be treated flows into the front of the drum basket, passes through the screen filtration, and exits through the outlet. Debris is retained on the screen surface. When the water level difference inside and outside the screen reaches a certain value, a rotating rake installed on the central shaft rotates to clean the debris. When the rake gathers the debris to the top of the drum basket (12 o'clock position), the residue begins to discharge (debris that can fall by gravity is discharged into the residue chute). The rake then rotates 150 degrees backward, and a cleaning blade at the top of the drum basket automatically scrapes off the debris adhering to the rake teeth, discharging it into the residue chute. The screened residue is lifted by a spiral conveyor at the bottom of the chute, compressed and dewatered in the upper pressing section, and then transported away. The solid content of the residue can reach 35%–45% DS.
